I sketched several variations of this fountain for use as a game environment.
I then modeled and textured the fountain in Maya. Surrounding geometry by Cory Davis and the rest of the art team.

At one point the director Ian Dallas was interested in having a sort of ecosystem surrounding the vines - so there would be creatures that eat the vines and possibly monsters that eat the creatures.
